DU'ANYAM

INDONESIA

Du’Anyam is a social enterprise that improves the livelihoods and health of women living in rural Indonesia and preserves local culture through the production of wicker crafts. Du’Anyam has worked with over 1,400 women across 54 rural villages in Indonesia. These women have experienced an average income increase of 40%, which they report using to improve the health, education, and wellbeing of their families. Du’Anyam received a working capital loan of $75,000 to support its growing business with IKEA. The company was first funded through Reciprocity Fund, but “graduated” into the BR Main Fund after meeting its stricter credit standards.
