Recyproco

Recyproco is a recycling social enterprise based in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, that purchases recyclable materials from more than 100 waste pickers and institutional suppliers. The company processes paper, cardboard, plastics, metals, glass, and tetrapak, helping divert waste into circular value chains while creating more stable income opportunities for low-income recyclers. Recyproco strengthens the local recycling ecosystem through fair purchasing practices, fast payments, environmental education, and partnerships focused on professionalizing the recycler sector. Beneficial Returns provided a $88,000 loan to finance an automated baler that will significantly increase the company’s processing capacity, improve operational efficiency, and enable Recyproco to purchase larger volumes from waste pickers while reducing material sent to landfills.
