JYN COFFEE

JYN Coffee is a specialty coffee processor and exporter based in Bajawa, Flores, Indonesia, working with approximately 75 Indigenous Ngada coffee farmers. The company purchases forest-grown Arabica coffee cherries directly from farmers, paying premium prices while preserving traditional agroforestry systems that protect biodiversity and forest ecosystems. JYN processes the coffee locally using specialty methods that enable farmers to capture more value through premium international markets. Beneficial Returns provided a working capital loan to finance coffee purchases from farmers, enabling JYN to fulfill growing export demand while increasing incomes and supporting the long-term preservation of Bajawa’s unique forest coffee landscape.
