DelPla

DelPla, founded in 2020 during the pandemic, is a fast-growing Colombian social enterprise that processes plantain products for the commercial market, domestically and abroad. By integrating over 100 smallholder farmers into formal value chains, DelPla pays about double the traditional market price, increasing household incomes and providing stability in regions like Urabá and the Eje Cafetero. The company also employs nearly 50 people, including displaced individuals and single mothers, offering dignified jobs and social mobility. With a loan from Beneficial Returns, DelPla is investing in industrial equipment to expand production capacity, meeting rising demand while channeling more income to rural farming families.
