Lucie Ellis

Communications

Lucie is an undergraduate junior at the University of Notre Dame studying Business Analytics and Social Entrepreneurship. She currently works part-time in the Marketing and Communications department at Beneficial Returns.

She was introduced to social entrepreneurship when she spent the summer consulting disadvantaged entrepreneurs in the townships of Cape Town, South Africa. Through her minor, she is taking courses in social entrepreneurship and human-centered design and is currently consulting low-income entrepreneurs in

human-centered design and is currently consulting low-income entrepreneurs in the South Bend area. Lucie is a student fellow of the Pulte Institute for Global Development at Notre Dame. 

Lucie’s interests in social issues have stemmed from her involvement with students with intellectual and physical disabilities before coming to college. Her primary interests are in poverty reduction, micro-finance, and advocacy for persons with disabilities.
